SPLASH! Pool Party in support of Kurdish Human Rights Project Saturday 13 August, London

Supporters of human rights will have a fun opportunity to demonstrate their support this summer, at an all-day pool party to be held in London on 13 August.

All proceeds from the party, organised by Keep UP!, will go to Kurdish Human Rights Project, an independent human rights organisation which has worked since 1992 to promote and protect the rights of all people living in the Kurdish regions of Turkey, Iraq, Iran, Syria and elsewhere. The organisation, a registered charity, was most recently shortlisted for the Liberty/ JUSTICE/ Law Society of England and Wales Human Rights Awards in 2004.

Ticket-holders can take advantage of the all-day outdoor swimming pool available at Brockwell Lido and, from 6pm onwards, barbeque food, fully licensed bar and music.

Date: Saturday, 13 August 2005

Time: Swimming 12pm onwards; music and barbeque from 6pm onwards

Venue: Brockwell Lido outdoor swimming pool, near Brockwell Park. (Herne Hill overline station. Trains run from Victoria, Brixton, Elephant & Castle and Blackfriars. Bus routes 3, 37, 68, 196, 201, 322 and 468 run from around the Herne Hill area).

Ticket Price: £10.00. Tickets are not available on the door and must be purchased in advance. Drinks and food at the event are not included in the ticket price.
